Mark and Matt Ivey grew up in the home building business; the pair worked as teenagers for their father, Jake Ivey, after he started building homes in 1984 in the Augusta, GA area. In 2004, Ivey Residential, LLC dba Ivey Homes was formed and has built 2,000+ homes in the Augusta River Region and in recent years has added several multi-family projects to the housing landscape. Ivey Homes has also been ranked as one of the nation’s largest homebuilders by Professional Builder Magazine.

Ivey Homes was founded on the belief that homes could be built affordably, efficiently and still offer a variety of quality and personal touches. By using a system-based approach and leveraging the volume of homes Ivey builds, the company is able to deliver homes of exceptional value and style. Ivey customers benefit from a simplified, pleasant building experience with no last minute cost surprises. For an added peace of mind, every home is built to our very own, IveyWise Program, exclusively designed with the focus of building a better built home from the ground up that offers homeowners a more energy efficient, healthier home.

As a company, Ivey Homes has been awarded the Guild Master Award for Excellent Customer Service twelve years since 2007 earning a Likely to Recommend rating that is consistently in the 90 percentiles. Ivey is also proud of their recognition with the state and local home builders associations. Both Matt and Mark have earned local and state builders of the year honors, with most recently Mark being named Builder Member of the Year for Georgia in 2022.

Since the start in 2004, the Ivey’s have expanded into land development, multi-family development and professional office space development. All under the umbrella of Ivey Group.

Mark Ivey

Mark Ivey was introduced to the homebuilding industry in 1984 when his father, Jake Ivey, started building homes. After earning a civil engineering degree from Georgia Tech, Mark spent 15 years in the civil engineering field designing both public and private projects while overseeing the Augusta office for a statewide engineering company.

Mark leads the construction and development teams for the single-family, multi-family and commercial projects. Mark also stays on top of the regulatory changes in the industry and communicates those changes and their effect to builders and local government. The building industry is innovating and growing with Mark leading the way at a local and state level.

Matt Ivey

Matt has construction experience dating back to 1984, when his father, Jake, started building homes. Matt has a finance degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Real Estate degree from Georgia State. Matt worked in property management, real estate acquisition, and structured finance divisions of a multi-billion dollar company rising to the level of VP. In 2004, Matt and his brother Mark, joined forces to start Ivey Residential.

Matt leads the company’s business development, financing, product development, sales and marketing teams. Matt is involved with many local and charitable organizations that contribute to the betterment of the community. Matt feels being involved in the community is an important part of the Ivey culture.
